Been a while

Geeez.  Its been a while since my last entry.
Lots has happened during this time.  Been busy busy busy, running the business, overseas trip, and lots of PS3 playing.

Since last time I have recieved my PS3 (got it on the 23 March 07  0:00 am).  Went down to the shop with my friend and picked it up at midnight.  Even got a HDMI cable, but then stupid me found out that my TV didn't have the HDMI input.  But all is good, cause it does have componant input, so I can still play my games with HD quality.  Which by the way is pretty good.  Just wondering now if there is any difference between HDMI input and Component input, well I'll just have to wait till I get my next TV with HDMI input to find out.

Done lots of Game playing these days.  Finish the game "Resistance - Fall of Man".  It's a pretty good game, I have enjoyed it lots.  The story is a bit long and draggy thought (in my own opinion).

Haven't done any of my gundam models for a long time too.  I think I should start again some time in the near future.  It's just not right to have boxes after boxes of gundam models sitting there waiting for me to make them.

I'll up date more later on.  Got to go for now.
Take care.

PS3 Games and Gundam Model

In my last entry I said that I ordered a PS3 and now waiting for it to come.  Just yesterday one of my friend has come back from Taiwan after his Chinese New Year trip.  While he was there I learnt that the games on PS3 has no region restrictions (as i talked about in my last blog), so I got him to look up a couple of games for me.  In the end he brought back four PS3 games and one Gundam model.

PS3 Games:

Ridge Racer 7 - The graphics looks fantastic on the websites, I sure hope it is the case when I see the real thing.  The game supports 1080i High Def video output, so it has to be good.

Genji - its an action RPG game, and it needs 2200+ MB HDD space to play.  The game supports up to 720p video output.

Resistance: Fall of Man - A si-fi first person shooter game, always liked si-fi and it looked good on the websites so I got him to get that for me.  Supports up to 720p video output.

Finally a game that most Gundam fan will not want to miss out, even when that game has really really bad review and game play.  Lots of places gives this game a 3 out of 10.

Gundam: Target in sight - Like I said, even though this game has got very bad review I still got it just for the sake of this being a Gundam game on PS3.  It’s a first person view robot battle simulation.  Apparently it has got average graphics and also slow graphic rendering and game pace.  On the box it says the game supports up to 720p video output.  Up to 2 players, so I'm assuming 2 people can battle it out.

All I need now is my PS3 to be here, and then I can see for myself if all the reviews are right or not.

The Gundam model I got is MSN-04 Sazabi, I have mentioned this particular model in earlier blogs.  This is the one that featured in "Char's Counter Attack".  Always wanted it, but the shops here sell them for too much.  This model will be added on to my ever growing to do list :) .

Pre-Ordered My PS3

PS3!

I have finally ordered my PS3.  Been thinking about whether or not I should get one for a while now.

Some of you might think why "pre-order".  Well, I live in New Zealand and lots and lots of things don't get released until much later after the rest of the world has enjoyed the fun of first hand experience.  On top of that everything here is more expansive compared to the rest of the world.  We are getting the short end of the stick.  This is one thing I hate about living in this country, but that is a whole different topic.  PS3 is going to be in our stores on the 23 March 2007.

Just saw a functioning PS3 in one of our Sony shops here and I LOVED IT!  I am also very excited to learn that PS3 has no region restrictions on the GAMES.  That means I can get any game I want from wherever in the world and I can play it, that is a huge plus for me.  Because like I have mentioned before, lots of things come to this country late or sometimes never gets here, it is a plus to have that no region quality.

Can wait till the day to come, when the PS3 sits in front of my 50 inch TV.

MS-06F-2 ZAKUII

I've colored most of the parts and now trying to put them together.  From the pictures you can realy tell the difference between the non colored ones and the colored.  All the Zaku has got this very annoying part where the tubes going around the head, waist and legs.  Its made up of little beed like items, have to file all of them and try to paint them.  I'm half way thought those beeds, and my eyes are going blind and finger cramp. :)  That is the joy of model making...  not!  :)  Added a few pictures in the photo section.

Gundam Weapons Mag

Been looking around online and found this series of magazines called "Gundam Weapons".  Apparently this line of mag is from Hobby Japan Mag, it's a special edition with lots of gundam model finish product pictures and have modifications for you to see.  I'm now dieing to get my hands on those mags.  I have to say, they are very hard to find, especially one edition "Gundam Weapons - 0083 Stardust memory".  I will continue to look for it.  Hope I can find it somewhere and claim one for myself.  Wish me luck.

MS-06F-2 ZAKUII

Just starting off with the next project.  This one seems to be the easiest of all the ones I have made so far.  At first I was going to just make it without painting, cause I was feeling lazy.  Also because I was wanting to get the One Year War Version and make that one up with nice paint finish.  After a bit of thought (like 3 secs) I have decided to paint it, if I'm going to make it might as well make it good.

Put some picture up to show what I have done so far.  They are not yet painted, will paint them later on.  At this stage I'm just getting the parts ready.

Ordered more Models

Have been looking around for more gundam models.
Placed 2 orders:
Gundam MG RB-79K Ball E.F.S.F. Mass-Productive Middle-Range Support Mobile Pod
Gundam Collection NZ-333 Alpha Azieru Gundam Model Kit 1/400 Scale
Can't wait for it to arrive.

There were a few later produced models that I am still keeping my eyes out for.  The newer One Year War 0079 versions.

MS-04 Acguy

I have finally finished the Master Grade Acguy model.  After a month's of procrastination I have finally put my foot down and got the model finished during the weekend.

Well to be honest there was one thing that motivated me in finishing it up.  I was looking at buying another Master Grade gundam model for a couple of month now, but of course like I may have mentioned before I have a few boxes that is still sitting in my room waiting for me to finish.  I thought I can't justify getting a new one until I finish at least one first.  So there we go, 1 down 3 to go and one new one to come.

The new one that I have been eyeing is the one from Char's Counter Attack MSN-04 Sazabi.  That is one good looking MS, and plays a big part in the story.  It is the MS that Char pilots.  Hopefully I will be able to get it in the next month or so.

Have updated the pictures in MS-04 Acguy
